Bio简介

Miko Lim was born in Malaysia to a Czech-American mother and a Chinese father. At a very early age, he moved to Seattle with his mother, and later would deliver newspapers to his neighbor Kurt Cobain. It was the epicenter of the Grunge Era which had a profound effect on Lim’s world view. During his college years in Los Angeles, Lim studied medicine and spent his free time surfing the Pacific. After graduation, his serious pursuit in the visual arts developed while working for Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thorton’s production house.

Since then, Lim has become an established name within the photographic community with an impressive client list, shooting for such brands as Nike, Adidas, Olay, Coca Cola, Red Bull, Converse, Diesel, and Maybelline. His editorial clients include GQ, Esquire, Numero, Self, Shape, Vibe, Fitness, and Vogue.

Lim’s first book, We Are The Only Ones, which depicted a fresh, youthful summer in Miami, was published in 2011.

He lives between New York and Los Angeles with his wife and three sons.
